Awake craniotomies, Gamma Knife® radiosurgery, laser interstitial thermal therapy (LITT), minimally invasive spine surgery, and robotics are available for conventional cases, as well as complex diagnoses. Christine E. Lynn Rehabilitation Center for The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis at UHealth/Jackson Memorial is dedicated to giving patients back their lives.
Our state-of-the-art facility was designed from scratch to be one of the country’s elite rehabilitation centers for traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and other complex conditions, with every aspect of our programs underlined by a strong focus on comprehensive care. While other specialty programs focus on life saving, UHealth Jackson Rehabilitation Care focuses on giving people back their lives. Our patients’ average daily improvement in function is higher than the national average, and our satisfaction rates are among the best in the country. With quicker recovery times, our patients leave inpatient facilities faster and progress to outpatient programs to return home sooner.
Jackson Health System and UHealth – University of Miami Health System are pioneering the implantation of the FDA-approved Vivistim® Paired VNS™ System in South Florida, significantly enhancing upper limb function in stroke survivors, who will begin Vivistim Therapy™ at the Christine E. Lynn Rehabilitation Center for The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis at UHealth/Jackson Memorial.
